Get a Growth Mindset – Introductory Training

What would it be like if you could respond to life’s challenges with gusto?

so I'm always looking for my next challenge

In this interactive recorded 90-minute audio training, you will be introduced to some of the most important scientific research that relates to personal change, that of Carol Dweck’s work in “self theories” — or a fixed mindset vs. a growth mindset:

  • Learn what makes the difference between people who give up too easily and those who love a challenge — and how to make the switch!
  • Realize when and where you have a fixed vs. a growth mindset.
  • Begin to explore the structure of how you maintain a fixed or growth mindset, without having to think about or practice it.
  • Hear a demonstration of changing from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset rapidly…using some advanced change techniques from NLP.

Preparing the Soil for Personal Growth

This webinar was originally presented on November 23rd, 2013. In this recording, you will be exploring new ways of thinking and perceiving. Learning how to do the method properly will probably take longer than can be taught in a single 2 hour class (unless you already have significant NLP training). However, once you learn this method well, you will be able to change your mindset in any area of life in as little as 20 minutes…and the change will last. As a result, you will be far more resourceful when facing challenges and difficulties. Over time this could lead to an abundant harvest in that area of life, a veritable cornucopia of positive results.

“I’d been following Duff on Facebook for a couple years but had never interacted with him beyond the brief written exchanges there. When he announced his webinar on the subject of growth mindsets, he had already earned my respect and trust, and I wondered what it would be like to learn from him in a more dynamic setting. I totally enjoyed the experience.

It was obvious to me that he is as competent as a trainer and a ‘coach’ as I had hoped. Duff was really well prepared, clearly knew what he was talking about (and a whole lot more) and he was highly personal and efficient. I was impressed by the way he put the presentation together, how he integrated features of the technology to make it as engaging and effective as possible. The knowledge I gained is of real value.

I feel really clear about what a growth mindset is, where I could benefit from changing from a fixed mindset to a growth mindset, and how to do it. Most importantly, I finished the webinar feeling really confident about what I had learned – even though it required very little effort on my part. … What impressed me even more, though, is how sure I am about Duff as a good person and as an effective professional.

I was comfortable before, but now I’m certain that he’d be an excellent person to work with in a one-to-one setting. In fact, I’m about to sign up for NLP training and certification with him as my trainer, and I’m nothing but thrilled!”

Full 8-Hour Training Coming January 2014

The introduction will be enough for some who are already NLP trained, whereas the full 8-hour training is coming in January for those who wish to deeply understand and practice the art of weathering the storms of life. In the longer training, in addition to learning the first method above, you’ll also learn precisely why “kids these days” seem so entitled and don’t like hard work, and how well-meaning parents and teachers are creating that response in children based on the kinds of praise that they use with kids.

In the full training you’ll learn what to do instead, and practice installing new ways of giving praise and criticism — to yourself and others — so that they become automatic new behaviors for you. Giving such nourishing feedback is important once the groundwork is laid, like watering seedlings. There’s also additional research that shows why most goal-setting techniques (including things like “The Secret” and The “Law” of Attraction) not only don’t work, but actually prevent growth and goal achievement…and what works instead. This will all be covered in the full training.

The truth is completely different!

In order to successfully grow something, we must first prepare the soil. A growth mindset helps us to get grounded in what it will really take to succeed in life: working hard while using good strategies and learning from what happens.
